RPMP Review
Under the Biosecurity Act 1993, the Regional Pest Management Plan (RPMP) must be reviewed every 10 years. Typically, this process begins with the presentation of a draft pest management plan to a Council committee. However, as the Biosecurity Strategy is also under review and a new Biodiversity Strategy is being developed, these processes will be integrated. As a result, public consultation on the RPMP will commence earlier than usual, taking place prior to the formal plan initiation phase.
Updates on the review process will be available through the Biodiversity and Biosecurity Perspectives Hub, where you can stay informed, track progress, and share your feedback.
