Code of Practice for Subdivision and Land Development
Marlborough's Code of Practice for Subdivision and Land Development is based on "New Zealand Standard 4404:2004 Land Development and Subdivision Engineering" (Standard).
Modifications and amendments required to suit local conditions and practice have been documented in an Addendum produced by the Marlborough District Council. Clauses within the Addendum have been reproduced from NZS4404:2004 with the permission of Standards New Zealand under Licence 00072.
Council approved the release of the Addendum on 26 June 2008. The Addendum has been designed to be used in conjunction with the Standard. NZS4404:2004 can be purchased from Standards New Zealand.
The Proposed Marlborough Environment Plan (MEP), Volume One, Chapter 12, Section 12.M.9 and Chapter 18, Section 18.M.13 provides a reference to the Code of Practice for Subdivision and Development.
