The popular Dump Shop at Wither Road, Blenheim will reopen for donations tomorrow - Monday 24 November - at 10am.
This follows last week’s fire at the nearby Resource Recovery Centre which will be closed for some time.
Council’s Solid Waste Manager Mark Lucas said clean up was continuing on site and the Dump Shop team had worked hard to get ready to open by tomorrow.
“There is still quite a bit to do so the opening time will be 10am - not 8am - and donations will be very welcome as a lot of items at the Dump Shop have unfortunately been smoke damaged.
“The Dump Shop team are hoping to be able to trade but at very least they will be able to take your donated items to help stock the shop back up again,” Mr Lucas said.
Kerbside collection carries on as normal this week and work continues on options for handling these recyclable products while the Resource Recovery Centre is closed.
The Blenheim Transfer Station, Green Waste Facility and the Hazardous Waste Centre are all operating as normal.
