Conders Bend temporarily closed

On Friday 27 March a member of the public was injured by a falling tree while walking at Conders Bend, near the Wairau River on State Highway 6.

The individual sustained injuries and is currently recuperating at home.

Conders Bend is a multi use area.

The area has been temporarily closed to allow an investigation to be completed.

The public are advised to please avoid the area while closed. A further update will be provided in due course.
