New to Marlborough? Here’s everything you need to know

If you’re a newcomer to our region and wondering how to find out about your local community and its facilities, check out the Welcome to Marlborough guide.

The online guide has all the information you need to help you get settled and find your way around.

Whether it’s learning how to register your dog, find a doctor or school or how to vote, the information is all there in an easy-to-navigate and read format. There is a good section that covers safety and emergency including what to do to keep yourself safe and important emergency contacts.

If you have come from another country, you can find information about language support and the various community groups that exist here in Marlborough.

There are also links to work and business opportunities and information about bus services, rubbish and recycling and libraries.

Click on the recreation tab which will connect you to a myriad of options including walking and bike tracks, playgrounds and the wonderful community pool and fitness facility, Stadium 2000.

If you are unsure how to become involved in the community the “Making Connections” section has a list of groups including the Marlborough Multiculutral Centre, Volunteer Marlborough and Harakeke Hubs, which can all help you to become part of the community.
