Samoan Government delegation visits Marlborough

Councillor Gerald Hope (centre), Chief Executive John Boswell (far right) and other council staff met with the Hon Minister for Commerce, Industry and Labour in Samoa Fata Ryan Schuster and other officials recently.

The delegation was on an official visit to New Zealand accompanying the Prime Minister of Samoa to engage with Samoan nationals employed under the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme.

Various aspects of the Marlborough economy were discussed and the delegation visited vineyards, wineries and mussel farms in the Marlborough Sounds during their two-day visit.
