Marlborough JPs receive long service awards

A ‘remarkable’ group of people has been acknowledged for their time, knowledge and commitment in service to the Marlborough community.
Justices of the Peace Greta Firth, Kevin Loe KSM, and Tony Quirk, along with Tim Marshall and Liz Anderson (who were not present on the day), received long service awards in Council Chambers.
Mayor Nadine Taylor said the day was about acknowledging long service but was also recognition of the values that sit behind that service - integrity, fairness, responsibility and a genuine commitment to helping others.
“Our communities are strengthened by people who step forward to serve. Whether they work in visible leadership roles or behind the scenes, they help create the social fabric that binds us together. Justices of the Peace are very much part of that fabric,” she said.
