Proposed temporary road closure - 11 November 2026 – Seymour Street
Armistice Day
On Wednesday 11th November 2026, Seymour Street will be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic from Alfred Street and High Street between 10:30am and 12:15pm for Armistice Day.
During the proposed period of closure, between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch), ordinary vehicle traffic may use the road being closed.
It will be an offence under the above regulations, for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicle traffic during the period of closure.
This notice is given pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.
Anyone wishing to object to the proposal must lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before Monday 26th October 2026, at the Marlborough Roads Office, 28 Alfred Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim, 7201.
