Proposed temporary road closure – Sunday 6 December – Picton CBD

Picton Christmas Parade

On Sunday 6th December, the following portions of the streets will be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic from 1:00pm to 5:00pm for the purpose of the Picton Christmas Parade.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicle traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicle traffic during the period of closure.

This notice is given pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.

Anyone wishing to object to the proposal must lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before Friday 20 November 2026, at the Marlborough Roads Office, 28 Alfred Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim, 7240.
