Spring has sprung in Council parks with spectacular displays at Pollard Park and Seymour Square.
Garden beds at both parks are full of masses of tulips, poppies, polyanthus, salvia, forget-me-nots and pansies.
Work in the parks is now focused on maintaining the beds, with regular weeding and hoeing.
Late winter was a busy time with the gardening team cutting back perennials and pruning roses and hydrangeas to ensure a high standard of presentation.
The popular rose and hydrangea pruning demonstrations were held in Pollard Park with good numbers attending.
