Do your bit for Recycling Week
Recycling Week begins on Monday with the shared goal of reducing waste and recycling better.
It’s a nationwide campaign involving organisations of all sizes throughout the country.
With Marlborough’s repaired Recycling Centre up and running at full capacity again, it’s a perfect opportunity to visit and check out options available for recycling.
In addition to the Recycling Centre for your plastic, glass, aluminium, paper, and cardboard, check out the Dump Shop, where you can donate used goods for resale and shop its well-stocked shelves.
When recycling, remember a few simple tips: lids off, give containers a quick rinse, no food scraps and if in doubt, leave it out and put it in the waste bin.
It’s also worth remembering that all recycling in Marlborough is hand sorted. What you put in, someone else picks up. Taking a few extra seconds to recycle correctly helps keep staff safe, reduces contamination, and ensures more material can be successfully recycled.
