Come together for Birds of a Feather
The Marlborough Biodiversity Forum invites the community to Birds of a Feather, a special avian-focused forum, on Sunday 8 November at the Marlborough Research Centre in Blenheim.
Running 9am to 1pm, the forum will showcase bird conservation projects and provide updates from organisations and community groups working to protect and enhance Marlborough’s birdlife.
Guest speakers include Sonja Roxburgh from the East Coast Protection Group; Holly Turner from the Marlborough Karearea/Falcon Trust; Myrene Otis and Simon Lamb from Wildlife Management International Ltd; and Pat Crowe, Marlborough representative for Birds NZ. Representatives from DOC and Council will also host a Q&A session on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) bird flu.
Anyone interested in birds and biodiversity is welcome. Registration closes on 5 November and can be made by emailing biodiversitymarlborough@gmail.com.
