More time to have your say on Picton Powerhouse Reserve
There is still time to provide feedback on the future of the Picton Powerhouse Reserve on Wairau Road.
The Powerhouse Reserve community engagement survey will now be available online until Friday 15 August. It only takes five minutes to complete.
The Picton Seaport Trust Board, made up of community and Council representatives, is keen to revitalise the site and wants to hear the community’s thoughts before progressing any plans.
Located beside the Picton skate park and comprising a collection of historic buildings and sheds, the Trust has identified an opportunity to develop the space into a vibrant arts, environmental education, creativity, and connection hub.
The buildings include the former isolation ward from Picton Hospital, the Thorburn Gallery built in the early 1900s, and six boatsheds relocated from Picton Marina.
