Blenheim Transfer Station, Green Waste, Hazardous Waste open Saturday

The Blenheim Transfer Station in Wither Road, including the green waste facility, will reopen tomorrow – Saturday - following yesterday’s fire at the Resource Recovery Centre. The Hazardous Waste Centre will also reopen tomorrow.

These facilities will open at the normal time of 10am and close at 4pm.

The Resource Recovery Centre, significantly damaged in the fire, is expected to be closed for some time.

The Dump Shop will remain closed until Monday to allow for clean up due to smoke damaged items.

A plan is being worked on to ensure Marlborough people can continue to recycle and the region’s kerbside collection will continue as normal. As soon as these arrangements are confirmed, this information will be provided.
