Road Safety Coordinators are appointed by councils throughout the country to deliver road safety promotion activities and education programmes on a regional level. This work is carried out in Marlborough under the Marlborough Road Safety identity.
Marlborough Road Safety seeks to have an impact on the behaviour of anyone who uses the road, be it state highway, urban roads or footpaths, to ensure Marlborough can have a safe and sustainable transport network.
Marlborough Road Safety works closely in partnership with the New Zealand Police, ACC, the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA), and Marlborough Roads to promote road safety in our region.
NZTA and Marlborough District Council jointly fund Marlborough Road Safety and its programme of activities.
