Proposed temporary road closure - Sunday 4th October 2026

Marlborough Car Clubs Annual Street Sprint

On Sunday 4 October 2026, it is proposed to close all of Bristol St, Manchester St and Vernon St in the Riverlands Industrial Estate Blenheim between 7.30am and 5pm for the Marlborough Car Club Annual Street Sprint.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicle traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicle traffic during the period of closure.

This notice is given under the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.

Anyone wishing to object to the proposal must lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before Friday 18 September 2026, at the Marlborough Roads Office, 28 Alfred Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim, 7240.
