As at 9 July 2025, the proposed Marlborough Environment Plan (PMEP) became operative in part. The PMEP combines the Regional Policy Statement along with the various resource management plans into one document. The Marlborough Regional Policy Statement, below, is no longer operative.
The Marlborough Regional Policy Statement provides an overview of Marlborough's significant resource management issues - issues about use and development of natural and physical resources - water, air, land, the coast and the built environment. It contains objectives, policies and methods to achieve integrated management of these resources. It was made operative on 28 August 1995.
