My principal place of residence is in the Marlborough Māori Ward area.
E ngā reo, e ngā mana, e ngā karangatanga maha o te rohe nei, tēnā koutou katoa. Ko Allanah Riria Burgess tōku ingoa. Nō Waikawa ahau.
I proudly stood as the first Māori Ward Councillor in 2022. Since then, I have worked hard to uplift the voices of whānau Māori across our electorate.
I continue to walk alongside, aspire and represent whānau, and see the importance of strong leadership that listens, serves, and stands beside you. I am committed to making a real difference focusing on community wellbeing and long-term solutions.
I will be advocating for the protection of the Māori Ward seat through the upcoming referendum. A Māori voice at the table benefits us all. No stress, vote yes.
I remain committed to leading with integrity, grounded in whakapapa, guided by tikanga, and focused on a better future for all our tamariki and mokopuna, mō ake tonu atu.
